The Farnborough Airshow attracts over 120,000 trade visitors, 130,000 members of the public, 44 countries represented by delegations, 152 aircraft in static and flying displays. From a commercial view, there are over US$47 billion worth of orders announced too. It is therefore not hard to understand why the Farnborough Airshow holds such a prominent position within the industry calendar.
For a week in July every two years, Farnborough is taken over by members of the world’s aerospace industry. In addition, London becomes a buzz with dinners, receptions and social functions for the industry leaders. The show itself is like most expos in that there are displays from each of the exhibiting companies. The difference is outside, where static displays of both corporate and military aircraft can be seen. Each afternoon, with the business deals complete, the skies come alive with the live display.
Monday to Friday are the corporate days, and the event opens up to the public at the weekend. The only key differences will be the type and level of people that are around the show. Monday will see the likes of government officials, CEO’s, and trade representatives walking around, whereas Saturday will be kids and ice-cream.
Select the right day for you and enjoy the sights of the best aerospace equipment in the world.

Travel and Hotel information
The majority of exhibitors and visitors to the show will be staying in London rather than Farnborough itself. There simply are not enough bedrooms in the area to cope, so extra, faster trains are laid on which make the transfer from London Waterloo through to Farnborough an easy option. Our advice is very much to book early. Find a suitable hotel near London Waterloo and book it now, simple as that. Nearer the time we would advise also pre-booking your train tickets too, this would save time on the day (you could probably by a weekly season ticket and save some money).
